As we all know, by redemption, we are now members of the household of God, a “New Dawn” Family – 2 Cor. 5:17/ Eph. 2:19

It is the family of the justified, that is ordained to shine more and more until Jesus returns – Rom. 3:24/ Pro. 4:18

But what is ‘New Dawn’?

  • In our context, New Dawn connotes a life:
  • Where new things never cease happening – Is 43:18-19/ Is. 42:7-9 /Mal. 3:6
  • Where we continue to experience the strange works and strange acts of God as a way of life – Jn 3:8/ Isa. 28:21-22
  • Where new doors continue to open to us – 45:1-3/ Rev. 3:7
  • Where we continue to experience a change of story:
  • From strength to strength – Ps. 84:7/ Ps. 73:17
  • From glory to glory – 2 Cor. 3:18
  • A life where things that eyes have not seen nor ears heard are the order of the day – 2:9-10
  • Where we experience new things:
  • Year in year out – 65:11/ Lk. 13:6-9
  • Month after month – Rev. 22:1-3/ Is. 61:3
  • And day in day out – 68:19/ Ps. 23:3/ Lam. 3:22-23
  • A family where every day is Christmas – 23:6/ Ps. 33:18-19/ Ps. 132:13-16
  • Furthermore, we have a New Dawn root in God the father, the God of new things, who said:
  • ‘Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing’ – Isa. 43:18-19
  • ‘The former things have come to pass, new thing do I declare’ – Isa. 42:8-9
  • Remember God also said, ‘I am the Lord, I Change not’ God is still doing new things in the lives of His people today – Mal. 3:6
  • We also have a New Dawn root in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, whose mission on earth was and is still characterized by new and strange things, as we saw people exclaimed concerning Him:
  • ‘we never saw it on this fashion’ – Mak. 2:12
  • ‘We have seen strange things to day!’ – Luk. 5:26
  • ‘What manner of man is this?’ – 8:27
  • Remember also that Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever – Heb. 13:8
  • In addition, we have a New Dawn root in the Apostles, who manifested strange works and strange acts in their ministries
  • Unveiling mysteries that were hidden for ages – Eph. 3:1-5/8-11
  • We saw Peter’s shadow healing the sick – Act 5:15
  • Paul and Barnabas were called ‘gods’ in the likeness of men – Act 14:11
  • They were preaching strange things and commanding strange results – Act. 17:16-21
  • Remember, the church is built on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets, so we have our foundation in strange works and strange acts – Eph. 2:20
  • Moreover, we are in the last days, the ‘New Dawn’ era of the church of Christ on earth, the era of new and strange things – Joel 2:28-29/ Zch. 8:20-23
  • This wave shall be so strange that it shall be spoken against by many people, but nothing shall be able to stop it – Joel 1:1-11/Act 28:22/ Isa. 28:21-22
  • However, new birth is the access of anyone to this “New Dawn” family – 2 Cor. 5:17/ Rom. 6:4
  • This is why we need to remain steadfast and unmovable in the faith and in our walk with God as individuals in these last days – Luk. 22:28-31/ Heb. 10:38/ Mat. 24:35

Therefore, the theme of year is:

2018 MY NEW DAWN – Isa. 43: 18-19

As the Lord lives, every day shall be Christmas for all His covenant children in the year 2018. Amen.

Jesus is Lord!
